1. Antivirus is the backbone of a system so use an good antivirus (Select the best one from here and get it free from here both paid and free).
2. Update both antivirus and operating system frequently(Download Offline updates from here)
3. Don't install unnecessary softwares or themes some of they contain hidden threats,Always download softwares from reputed sites like softpedia,CNET  like that.
4. Scan you PC at least one time in week(Always use full scan).
5. If you use internet and if your antivirus is not preloaded with firewall download a firewall software to protect your PC from Hackers,Intruders usually for online buyers,sellers etc(Download free from here)
6. Use a good junk cleaner,Use it daily to get maximum perfomance and free up junk space.(Download free one from here)
